I came face to face with a young Muntjac in Frog Lane yesterday. It made direct eye contact with me before strolling off into the undergrowth. During last week's heatwave I saw a Muntjac swimming in the canal, opposite the Trap Grounds -- presumably desperate to keep cool in the blazing sunshine.
